Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition Round 3 Inverness Engagement Event

On 20th March 2025, ZEM in collaboration with Inverness and Cromarty Firth’s PowerHouse organised a workshop in Inverness to explore ammonia as a viable alternative fuel for the maritime sector. The workshop aimed to inform industry professionals about the latest developments in ammonia technology, including its advantages, challenges, infrastructure requirements, and regulatory barriers that influence commercial adoption.

The event attracted 30 participants, including key stakeholders from the maritime sector, academia, and technology developers. The discussion revolved around the feasibility of ammonia as a clean fuel, its readiness for deployment, and the necessary steps to facilitate its adoption.
